My most current work found a new home at BEAUTIFUL condo in Royal Oak. I couldn't ask for a better setting or a nicer owner for my art!
Summer is here and things are happening! I am excited to say that I will be achieving a long-term goal of mine by participating at an art fair. I will have a booth set up at the Belle Isle Art Fair on August 6th & 7th! Everyday since I was granted a slot has been an adventure! Creating with a purpose and end goal in mind is filling my days with joy and excitement!

To make canopy weights I worked with concrete which was a super fun and messy project. I also researched and searched for the best canopy and made my purchase today. I have lots of work ahead of me!
Come check out my art exhibited at an amazing venue! Super excited for the reception this Saturday 12.12.15.
Be there! 620 Gratiot Ave, Saginaw, MI.
Since it is official... I will spill the beans! I just received a hosting agreement with The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel for ArtPrize! This is such an honor I am so blown away. The Amway is a must see venue of ArtPrize and the competition brought in 400,000 visitors last year! Last but not least... they gave me a whole room to do an installation! This is a huge opportunity for me to grow as an artist by way of experience and exposure. I am so grateful.
I submitted an email to a contact at Amway Grand Plaza Hotel asking to show my work for ArtPrize! Thanks to Susan Schofield for giving me a boost as an insider! Fingers crossed. I am so excited.
The finished under-layer. Now to draw upon and deconstruct parchment paper that will be placed overtop.
I am all settled and living in Grand Haven, MI. I am eager to get my work exposed in my hometown.
I am entering the 17th Annual Juried Winter Arts Festival Exhibit at Gallery Uptown. I will be submitting Separated Landscape and Impermanence 2 on January 29th. Wish me luck!
It is hard to believe but I am almost done with student teaching and I will be graduating mid December! I officially finished the horizontal piece of three that I have been posting pictures of. I am almost done with another work. This one is more simple with a single vertical frame 4'x2.' I am so excited to put on the finishing touches. I am so excited to submit these pieces into an art gallery. I am confident in their potential but I know it may not be easy. I will be a little fish in the big pond of Grand Rapids.
Rainy weather= progress. Feeling really excited about my piece. It's starting to look great. I am done with the monotonous and relaxing construction now it's time for the exciting but nerve wrecking deconstruction. All that's left is to burn, add lights, and screw in the back black frames.
